Now World Cass CNG Buses Are At Roads Of Karachi :





Karachi.24 Aug 2009: More CNG buses will be on Karachi`s roads.Nazim Karachi announced while talking to media representatives at CNG bus terminal at Surjani after distributing certificates among the drivers who have completed CNG bus pilot training course.Nazim Karachi said that this is the beginning of a change in the transport culture of Pakistan. This is a unique public transport system and we are doing our best to bring more improvement in this bus service.Addressing the drivers of CNG bus service, he said that you are not just drivers but representative of City Nazim and your attitude should be exemplary.After distributing certificates, Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal along with media representatives travelled in CNG bus from Surjani Chowrangi. He bought the tickets for himself and the media team travelling with him.The passengers of the bus expressed surprise when they saw City Nazim travelling with them like a common passenger.Nazim Karachi said that after the arrival of further 1600 buses, this service will be extended to other parts of the city. The lady passengers on this occasion thanked City Nazim and prayed for him.

New cheaper fuel launched in Karachi:





Pakistan State Oil has launched "E10 Gasoline" in Karachi . The new fuel in which ten percent ethanol is blended with petrol ,which would be cheaper by Rs2.40 per litre compared to petrol.Ethanol - a byproduct of molasses through distillation, would not only be comparatively cheaper for motorists but will also enhance performance of the engine through lead removal as it posses high octane rating for better fuel economy. Ethanol also offers a way to reduce green house gas emissions from transportation sources. The research has determined that ethanol presents less of pollution risk to drinking water. It would also benefit the farmer, who would feel attracted to grow more sugarcane and get adequate compensation.The other countries in the world where ethanol is already being used as fuel are USA, Denmark, Sweden, Brazil, and India.

How Karachi Celebrates The Pakistan`s63rd independence Day:(Photos and videos)






KARACHI:14th August,2009-AS the Pakistani nation is celebrating country’s 63rd Independence Day today with traditional zeal and enthusiasm across the country, Karachi the,largest city o Pakistan became origion of celebration,offering of special prayers in the mosques for the progress and prosperity of motherland and the well being of the nation. At sounding of sirens at 7:58 am, the traffic came to a halt for two-minutes and citizens observed silence, as the national anthem was played.There was a change of guards at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi. The cadets of the Pakistan Naval Academy mounted the guard duty at the mausoleum of the Father of the Nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah. A flag-hoisting ceremony was also held at the mazar of Quaid-i-Azam.Seminars, conferences, lectures, debates, book exhibitions, quiz competitions, Qir’at, Naat Khawani competitions, musical shows and mushairas will be held in a bid to promote national unity, integrity and solidarity. Government and private buildings have been illuminated . People decorated their homes and buildings with national flags, banners, lightings, paintings and balloons, particularly in green and white colors.
Yesterday night,great celebrations were held at 90-head quarters of MQM. The whole area was enlighten by green and golden lights,Fire works, national songs,lighting,free tea,people dancing over national songs and waving national as well as MQM flags ,children wearing green decorated special dresses, car and motor cycle rellies were the high lights of the ocassion.
